Hello fortytwo,

Your original post stated you are using the latest software which would be 4.0.12 but above explains 4.0.11 instead which is not the latest software.

 

I added some additional details to the Asterisk BLF FAQ post as the NOTIFY send by your yet unknown Server needs to add additional information in order for this to work:

 

The below notifycid=yes causes Asterisk to add a "target uri = callID" to the XML of the SIP NOTIFY. Without this target uri the Polycom phone will not do a directed pickup.

 

Any other compatible SIP server also needs to utilize this functionality within their SIP NOTIFY.

  • As you can see the red section it seems a DNS issue.

  • The yellow section indicates we do not like what we get from the DHCP server but I would ignore this for now.

I suggest you check with your own network team and then contact SCANSOURCE COMMUNICATIONS who we sold the Trio to back in 07/04/2017.

 

You can of course come back to the community but without changing the logging and following basic instructions and at least posting the currently used software version there is not a lot we can do.

Re: VVX 1500 BLF Configuration assistance

Hello Dao Tran,

I had a brief look at the config but whoever created this has no clue what they have done as it contains all sorts or parameters either not applicable for the Platform aka the VVX1500 or for different Call Servers aka Skype for Business / LYNC.

 

I suggest you factory reset this unit and start with a basic configuration aka a line registration and then try to follow the FAQ in regards of BLF and see what happens.

 

The next step, as already outlined, would be a PPI aka Pay Per Incident ticket with the named Polycom reseller.

 

You can keep posting logs or config here for other community members to look at by I am unable to support you any further.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

Hello SnowyOwl,

the reason you should post your Software Version was outlined in my original response.

 

In addition not using a current software release could be the reason for your issue in the first place.

 

There is no such setting and you would have to pull the power and plug it in again. I suggest you look into getting on a currently supported release and then, if the unit is still behaving like it is now, involve Polycom support.

Hello mlm081375,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset the Phones if the Admin Password is lost.

Many of our partners utilize these phones and offer services so we cannot publicly disclose the procedure to do so.

If your phone is still able to connect to the Provisioning server please reset the password via the Device Parameters documented in the Admin Guide or here

If this is not possible please contact your Polycom reseller or the person you purchased the phone from.

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove the password.

Hello Dao Tran,

my first reply asked you to utilize the attendant.uri parameter.

 

Your replies contain templates from the /Config subfolder which as a standard are not loaded by the phone which seems to utilize the attendant.resourceList.x.address instead.

 

None of your replies actually contain some logs so myself or others could actually see the phone subscribe to the URI and the reply of the server to this.

 

As already outlined I am at the end of what I can do for free so please for anyone else follow this up as advised in my multiple replies and try to troubleshoot this using the FAQ posts or please open a support ticket.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Both the Group Series and the RealPresence Desktop register to Polycom infrastructure either via H.323 or SIP.

 

Both of these utilize industry standards and are compatible with the release note listed products that we tested.

 

As long as they are used in a routeable network no gatekeeper or similar is required for both of them to make calls. No license is needed as long as only H.323 or SIP is being used.

The currently latest Version is 5.4.5.9658 Rev AG and should be utilized to exclude any known issues.

 

If the issue still happens using this version then please go ahead and open a support ticket.


In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.
